Winnipeg Blues – 55+ Evening …. 

The Winnipeg Blues Junior A Hockey Club will be starting a 55+ Evening for the upcoming 2013-2014 hockey season.  One special evening for 55+ fans to come and enjoy exciting, fast-paced MJHL hockey action.  Fans will be treated to special prizes and promotions by our participating sponsors.

  • 2 evenings November 3rd and December 15th

  • Meal and drink specials in the MTS Iceplex 

  • Card tournament starting at 5 in the restaurant area

Winnipeg Blues – School Read and Run

ProgramRegister for the 2013 season and become part of our team!

  • Program will begin November 2013

  • One Winnipeg Blues player will attend your school once a month from November to April

  • One hour period combining reading, math and physical fitness

  • Each student will receive a Blues player card from their very own Blues player … autographed.

  • Students can follow their Blues player on our webpage, winnipegblues.com, and keep stats honing their math skills while they do.

  • An invitation to attend a Blues game and visit the dressing room and meet all the Blues players

  • At the end of the season, all schools will be entered into a draw for a donation to their library and sports program.

Winnipeg Blues Junior A Hockey Club Community Club Mentorship Program

Introduction — the Winnipeg Blues Junior A hockey team have a new program beginning for the 2013 season. It will involve our Blues players going to the Community Clubs in Winnipeg to assist with the clubs minor hockey practices.

Program Details:

  • Start Date- Will depend on available outdoor ice at participating community clubs. There will be a limited amount of ice times at the MTS Iceplex beginning November 6th at 4:15pm where your team can come down to our practice and participate with our players. Spots are limited and will be first come. We are booking 2 teams per ice time. You must be registered in our program to be eligible.

  • MTS Iceplex times are:

  • November 6th ,13th and 27th at 4:15pm to 5:00pm

  • January 15 and 22nd at 4:15pm to 5:00pm

  • Prescheduled ice times at your Community Club where we will bring up to 3 of our players to assist with drills and act as mentors for your players

  • Blues players will bring their Blues player cards for autographing

  • An invitation to attend a Winnipeg Blues home game where they can visit our dressing room and get all of their Blues player cards signed.

  • Discount tickets will be available for any family member wishing to attend the Blues home game

  • Special Minor Hockey Nights will be held throughout the season where discounted tickets will be made available to help with your Community Clubs fund raising

  • All Community Clubs will be invited to a season ending coaching clinic run by the Winnipeg Blues coaching staff

Winnipeg Blues High School Fundraiser

Introduction — the Winnipeg Blues will be hosting a program to help with your high school fundraising. There will be 10 home games throughout the season where we will dedicate the evening to your high school fundraising 

Program Details:

  • Discounted game tickets will be available for these evenings where 50% of the cost of the tickets will go towards your school fundraising

  • Friendly competitions between high schools will be held between the 1st and 2nd periods. Winning schools will receive special prizes

  • A grand prize of 1,000.00 will be awarded to the school with the highest participation during the year

  • Additional tickets will be made available to your schools for all games throughout the season
