Winnipeg Jets To Honour Canadian Armed Forces On Saturday March 8 —

The Winnipeg Jets today announced the hockey club will host a Canadian Armed Forces Appreciation game on Saturday, March 8, 2014 at MTS Centre when the team hosts the Ottawa Senators. Game time is 2:00 pm CT.

The Winnipeg Jets will support our troops by wearing limited edition Canadian Armed Forces themed jerseys for warm-up.  All warm-up jerseys will then be auctioned online with proceeds going to Canadian Armed Forces charities.  Canadian Armed Forces bands will play live during the pre-game and intermissions in the Atrium space while a second CAF band will accompany Stacey Nattrass on the ice for O Canada.  Canadian Armed Forces personnel attending the game are encouraged to be in uniform as they will be invited to take part in a post-game photo on the ice at MTS Centre.  Only Canadian Forces Personnel in uniform will be eligible for the post-game photo.

True North Sports & Entertainment Limited will donate a block of tickets to Canadian Armed Forces members and their families. Season Seat Holders will have the option to donate their tickets to the March 8th game as well.  Season Seat Holders who participate in this initiative will be entered into a draw to win a limited edition autographed Andrew Ladd CAF Winnipeg Jets jersey, receive a charitable tax receipt for the amount of the tickets donated and earn 100 bonus Jets Points per ticket donated redeemable for unique rewards and experiences through the team’s loyalty rewards program “Jets Rewards”.
