Lehkonen is a very talented offensive player and he has been labeled a natural goal scorer. He is a very good puck-handler with moves that enable him to beat defencemen one on one. His shot is hard, accurate and he has a very quick release that surprises opposing goaltenders.
Artturi Lehkonen also has good hockey sense and is able to find the quiet areas in the offensive zone. Finding these quiet zones is what allows him to make great use of his quick one-timer. Lehkonen is a better than average play-maker with good on-ice vision.
He competes and battles well in the tough areas but like most 5’10 17 year olds he will need to add some upper body strength if he’s going to compete physically in the NHL.
Artturi Lehkonen is a very good skater with excellent top end speed. His speed allows him to create open ice for him and his line-mates.
His defensive play will need especially playing against bigger stronger players at the NHL level.
He is projected to be a top 6 scoring winger capable of playing on the PP. His highest ranking was #18 but he looks to be a late first round to early second round selection in the 24-34 range.
