About Darnell Nurse
Darnell Nurse played this past season for the OHL’s Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds. He has an an athletic pedigree as his father Richard Nurse played in the CFL and his uncle Donovan McNabb played in the NFL. He is the #2 ranked blueliner in North America in the NHL’s Final Central Scouting (CS) Rankings.
Nurse is considered one of the toughest players in the up-coming draft this summer. His physical play is being compared to Erik Gudbranson and Shea Weber. All NHL scouts comment positively on his compete level and physical play. Nurse himself will admit that at times he gets a little too aggressive but that it’s a big part of his game. Darnell Nurse has already developed a reputation as a very hard player to play against, so factor in his natural athleticism , skating ability, puck moving skills and it no surprise that most hockey observers are calling him a TOP Prospect. Almost every scout has Darnell Nurse ranked as a top 10 pick. Look for him to be drafted in the 6-10 range.
