About Brendan Perlini:

Brendan Perlini was selected sixteenth overall in the first round of the 2012 OHL Priority Selection Draft  by the Barrie Colts.  Later on in the 2012-13 season he was traded to the Niagara IceDogs.

Offensive Buzzwords:  Very good stick handler with better than average puck skills.  He has good hockey sense and is able to hang onto the puck and distribute.  Good on-ice vision.

Skating:  Brendan Perlini is a good skater with better than average speed and acceleration.

Defensive Buzzwords:  This is where Perlini’s draft position will be determined.  If he can improve his defensive awareness and commitment he can become a top level prospect.  This seems to be a work in progress.  Stay tuned.

Prospect Analysis:  Brendan Perlini was a late arrival to the 2014 NHL Draft rankings.  After a less than stellar rookie season he has been a fast rising 2014 draft prospect.  Perlini is a player to definitely keep an eye on. He’s come a long way in a short time to being a potential Top 10-15 NHL Draft pick.
