Offensive Buzzwords
Kasperi Kapanen is a highly skilled forward with great moves in one on one situations. He has a decent shot with a quick release. He is a good playmaker with exceptional on ice vision and also has a good scoring touch. Like all top players he has a high “Hockey IQ” and makes smart plays and uses his linemates effectively. He currently plays in a men’s league which is very impressive considering his size and age.

Kasperi Kapanen is a very good skater with excellent mobility and quick feet that make him very dangerous off the rush. He has an elusiveness about him with great escape-ability.

Prospect Analysis
Kasperi Kapanen is considered the top prospect in Europe and should be a Top 15 selection at the 2014 NHL Entry Draft. He has good bloodlines as his father was long time NHLer Sami Kapanen. He has a skill-set that could see him drafted in the Top 5-10 picks but he may slide a bit because of his size. I see him being drafted in the first round between 10-20.
