Buzzwords:

Draisaitl is a highly skilled playmaking center, not overly physical but he does use his size effectively.   Draisaitl has excellent on-ice vision, soft hands and is a good skater. His biggest asset and one of the highest compliments a player can receive is that he has a high hockey IQ and great hockey sense.

Achievements:

1.  Drafted 2nd overall in the 2012 CHL Import Draft by the Prince Albert Raiders.

2.  Represented Germany at the U18 Hockey Challenge.

3.  Represented Germany at the 2013 and 2014 U20 WJHC.

aka the “German Wayne Gretzky !!!

Leon Draisaitl has been nick-named the “German Gretzky” and as rookie he  recorded 58 points with the Raiders last season.  Draisaitl was also very impressive at the 2013 U20 WJHC  as a 17 year old playing for Germany where he had six points in six games.

Leon Draisaitl is a player to keep your eyes on this season as early projections have Draisaitl being a potential top 5 pick in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft.  WHT ranking is #4 but could go between 3-6.
