I was a little leery of Jansen Harkins being selected in the first round by the Winnipeg Jets at #25 but love this pick at #47.
Erik Foley

I don’t know if I like drafting an agitator, project player, in the 3rd round. Enough with the USHL already Chevy. The upside of this pick is there is plenty of development time as Foley will be going to play in the NCAA at Providence College, so the Jets have four years to see him develop without having to sign him and burn one of the fifty allotted contracts. In that sense this is a smart move but it doesn’t mean I have to like it.
Michael Spacek
Selected – 4th round Overall – 108
League: Czech Extreliga Team: HC Pardubice
Position: RW Shoots: Right
DOB: April 9, 1997 Born: Marianske Lazne, Czech Republic
Height: 5’11 Weight: 187
2014-15 Czech Stats: Regular season
Games: 40 G: 5 A: 7 Pts: 12 PIM: 12 Plus/Minus: -11

I like this pick. Spacek has played internationally many times for the Czech Republic at the U17, U18, and U20 WJC and has a whole season of playing in the Czech Extraliga against men. He was ranked as the #5 European Skater by Central Scouting and was on other draft boards as high as a 2nd or 3rd round pick.
