Jets ink Nelson Nogier to a two-year, two-way contract –
The Winnipeg Jets announced today they have agreed to terms with defenceman Nelson Nogier on a two-year, two-way contract with an average annual value in the NHL of $725,000.

Analysis:
This was a no-brainer signing for the Winnipeg Jets. Nogier will undoubtedly be a leader on the Manitoba Moose if there is an AHL season. Nogier is definitely not out of the running for a roster spot on the Jets although he will be in tough. The product of Saskatoon has played a handful of games (eleven) for the big club and for the most part, has been pretty decent.

Nogier is a good solid defenceman that plays a simple game and provides good organisational depth for the Winnipeg Jets
