Offensive Buzzwords
Brayden Point is a small skilled offensive center. He is a very good set-up man but also has a very good scoring touch. He is very strong on the forecheck and is always on the puck. Good hockey sense and a very high compete level.
Skating
I would consider Brayden Point a very good skater with better than average agility and quickness. His low center of gravity and outstanding balance make him hard to move off the puck. He is very strong on his skates.
Defensive Buzzwords
Brayden Point is a very responsible defensive player even though his plus/minus doesn’t reflect it at minus -25. He works in all three zones. In scouting terms, he plays a 200 ft game.
Prospect Analysis
Brayden Point is a small center-ice man at 5’8 but has played against bigger players his whole life. He is not intimidated by bigger players and gives as much as he gets. He plays with an edge. Point is a late arriver to the 1st round conversation but make no mistake, he has earned it. Like every under-sized hockey player that’s been told he’s too small to excel at the next level, I think he gets a kick out of proving the experts wrong. Bradyen Point has worked his way into my TOP 30.
