Random Thoughts On The Winnipeg Jets: July 21

Things about the Winnipeg Jets and the NHL that crossed my mind over the weekend —

Instead of being serious all the time and writing a commentary or an opinion piece we will jot down some random musings once a week.  It might be a mix of serious, playful or maybe even a little sarcastic but it should be fun.  If you have answers please let us know.

1.  If Josh Morrissey is sent back to the WHL, will he end up in Prince Albert or will the Raiders trade him to a WHL contender (Portland maybe)?

2.  Why are Ottawa and the NYI playing a pre-season game in St. John’s and not the “parent club” Winnipeg Jets?

3.  I wonder if Allan Walsh and Kevin Cheveldayoff exchange Christmas cards?

4.  When will the Vancouver media and/or fan-base stop pining over Evander Kane?

5.  When did the “A” become an alternate captain?

6.  Why do we talk hockey 12 months a year?

7.  I won’t be surprised if Josh Morrissey spends 1 more year in the WHL, how about you? (see question #1)

8.  What was wrong with the “A” meaning assistant captain?  (see question #5)

9.  Does anybody else think the “Graceland” character Mike Warren (Aaron Tveit) looks like Coyotes defenceman Oliver Ekman-Larsson?

10.  Have you listened to WHT Podcast #13?  If not …. WHY ????  Here it is Podcast #13

Now some of these questions are serious, some are just tongue in cheek and some are me just being a _________. (you fill in the blank)

If you have any thoughts on any of these questions please let me know.  I am a curious person by nature and I need answers.

Thanks, Mitch
