Dec. 6: The Good, The Bad, And The Ugly

The Winnipeg Jets had some good, bad, and ugly moments this week –

Each week we will list some of the “Good, the Bad, and the Ugly” from the previous week in the land of the Winnipeg Jets and the Manitoba Moose.

The Good

The Winnipeg Jets won two home games this week and that in itself is good news but it was the way they won that should be encouraging for Jets fans.  The Jets only gave up one goal in each win and they accomplished this by playing a much better defensive game along with getting strong goaltending from Connor Hellebuyck.  The other positive note from the two wins was that their special teams were better and their defensive play didn’t take away from the offensive part of the game.  They created lots of scoring opportunities in both games.

The Bad

The 8-2 thrashing the Chicago Wolves put on the Manitoba Moose on Wednesday night.  OUCH!

AND

As nice as it was to get wins over the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Washington Capitals, the Jets aren’t going to move up in the standings if they can’t take care of business within the tough Central Division.  The Winnipeg Jets record is currently 3-7-0 versus Central Division opponents and they can improve on that Sunday night with a win over the Chicago Blackhawks who aren’t exactly lighting it up either with 1-3-1 record.

The Ugly

The video review on Mark Scheifele’s overtime goal versus the Washington Capitals.  How long does it take to see that call was going to be inconclusive and especially on those shitty little 8″ screens.  NICE technology GARY!  IDIOTS!
