Defensive Buzzwords

Let’s just say Kevin Fiala’s strength is in the offensive zone right now and his defensive game needs improvement and it is definitely a work in progress.

Prospect Analysis

Kevin Fiala has an undeniable skill set that may or may not transition to the pro level.  He is gaining a lot of traction lately because of good play in the SHL and in the WHC playing against men.  I think his sample size is too small in these instances and it may be different if he went through the rigors of a full CHL season that included playoffs.  That being said he is an intriguing prospect that will generate a lot of interest come draft time.  I’m not ready to anoint him as a Top 15 prospect but will concede he should definitely be a 1st round selection.
