Winnipeg Blues Graduate Two Players To NCAA

Winnipeg Blues Jeremy Olinyk And  Jake Heisinger Commit To NCAA. 

 The Winnipeg Blues are proud to announce that Jeremy Olinyk and Jake Heisinger have committed to NCAA Division 3 schools for the upcoming season.

Olinyk is heading to Adrian College in Michigan.   Jeremy had a very good year and led the Blues in scoring this past season notching 24 goals while adding 47 assists.  He will be joining the Adrian Bulldogs this coming season.  The Bulldogs were within an overtime goal of heading to the final four this season.  The Bulldogs are looking forward to adding Olinyk’s scoring to their line-up.  The Adrian Bulldogs are no stranger to the MJHL  having former Portage Terrier Shaquille Merasty on their team.  Merasty was named USCHO Division 3 Rookie of theYear.

Jake Heisinger is on his way to Curry College in Milton Massachusetts.  Heisinger put up a career best 58 points this past season.  He had 19 goals and 39 assists for the Blues.  Jake Heisinger will be joining a Curry College Colonels team that  lost in the ECAC Northeast Quarterfinals to end their season.

 The entire Blues organization would like to thank Jake and Jeremy for all their contributions, and wish them all the best in both their academic and hockey futures.

WHT hope both Jeremy and Jake have great rookie seasons with their new teams.
