Winnipeg Hockey Community Mourns the Lose of Ethan Williams –

The hockey community mourns the loss of sixteen year old Winnipeg hockey player Ethan Williams.   Ethan was a prospect for the WHL’s Moose Jaw Warriors and he played midget this past season with the Winnipeg Thrashers.  This tragedy will be felt by both organisations and hockey fans all across the country.  Losing a young life is always a tough to cope with.  Ethan passed away on July 29, 2014.

From GM Alan Millar courtesy of the Moose Jaw Warriors website: July 30, 2014

“Our entire organization is very saddened today with the news of Ethan Williams’ passing.  Ethan was a fine young man, and a very talented hockey player. Our thoughts and prayers are with Chris and Shannon and the entire Williams family during this difficult time.”

Williams was selected by the Warriors in the 2012 WHL Bantam Draft in the 5th round, 90th overall.

We at Winnipeg Hockey Talk would like to pass along our condolences to the Williams family, the Winnipeg Thrashers, and Moose Jaw Warriors organisations. The hockey world mourns your loss.
