You guys made a really good point about expansion needs by other teams. Hence, 3 goalies for the rest of the year unless there is a trade or injury, methinks.
For next year, I don’t really see any goalies available that were named as much of an upgrade on Pav., except for Halak. However, the cheapskate (pardon the pun) Jets won’t pay that kind of money though like with Dubnyk, all he needed was a change of scenery/different style of play to Excel (pardon the pun), Halak might do the same. Can’t see it though.
Thus, I see Pav as a very real possibility for the Jets next year getting a one-year, $1.5 – 2M contract offer.
Draft and develop is the new way. FA is trending down save for the elite of the elite and even then …
