Morgan Klimchuk played this past season in the WHL for the Regina Pats. Morgan Klimchuk is considered a natural goal-scorer. He has a great wrist shot with a pro-release and a very good one timer. Like all natural goal-scorers Klimchuk has good hockey sense and is able to find the quiet zones in the offensive end. Morgan Klimchuk works hard in the corners, wins more than his fair share battles despite the fact he is only 5’11. He works well in the cycle game and gets to the front of the net to tip in shots and fight for loose pucks.
Skating
Klimchuk is quick, has good speed, good acceleration and is considered a good but not great skater.
Projection
Morgan Klimchuk has potential to be a top 6 winger that can play on a teams PP. Klimchuk is a game-breaker and a natural goal- scorer. Look for him to be drafted late in the 1st round or early in the 2nd. He is lumped into a group that could go in the 26-36 range.
