Winnipeg Blues 2014-15 Schedule

Winnipeg Blues Home and Away Schedule —

Your defending MJHL champion Winnipeg Blues will open their regular season against a familiar foe with a home and home series beginning in Selkirk against the Steelers on September 19th. 

Heading into this season, the MJHL has moved to a one-division format with teams playing a balanced schedule – three games at home / three games on the road against each opponent.

A total of 10 teams will make the playoffs.  Teams finishing seventh to tenth will participate in a separate, best-of-three Survivor Series to determine playoff seeding.  The seventh-place team will play tenth place, while eighth will play nineth. Winners then move on to the regular playoff format which will be best-of-seven series: 1st playing 8th, 2nd vs 7th, 3rd vs 6th and 4th vs 5th.

Other schedule highlights:

* The 2014 Old Dutch MJHL Showcase will be held from October 2-4, 2014 at the MTS Ice Plex, with each club in the league playing two games.

* Longest home stretch – 4 games – Jan 20-31 and Feb 21-28

* Longest road stretch – 6 games – Feb 6-17
