Flashback … Winnipeg, MB … Summer of 2014 … Jets Nation is up in arms, full of angst and pessimism because Winnipeg Jets General Manager was unable to come to a long-term contract agreement with Michael Frolik’s agent Allan Walsh. Most Jets fans figured it was going to be a tough negotiation with Allan Walsh, especially after the way he had his way in the Ondrej Pavelec negotiations a couple of years earlier. Some things that crossed my mind this past week about the Winnipeg Jets and the National Hockey League.
Eleven every ten
My theory is that if you can garner a minimum of eleven points in every ten game segment (on average) and win those two extra games you should be in the playoffs (92 points) or be in the hunt on the last weekend of the season. The team would have ninety-two points. In 2013-14 the Dallas Stars grabbed the last playoff spot with 91 points.
