The Winnipeg Jets announced on Thursday that they have signed their 2014 fourth round draft pick, Chase De Leo from the WHL’s Portland WinterHawks, to a three-year, two-way, entry-level contact worth $875,000 per year.
At first look, it would appear that Winnipeg Jets GM Kevin Cheveldayoff has quite a lot of holes to fill in his forwards roster. Only seven of twelve forwards are signed for next year with Anthony Peluso an RFA. [Read more…]

With some unbelievable goaltending down the stretch by the much maligned Ondrej Pavelec, the Jets clinched their first playoff spot since their relocation to Winnipeg. After reaching an all-time low after “the goal” in St. Louis it looked like he might be done but he rattled off an impressive streak and wrestled away the starting job from Michael Hutchinson.
