Nolan Patrick and Cody Glass were the only two Manitobans selected in the first round on Day 1 of the 2017 NHL Entry Draft. On Friday night, Nolan Patrick was taken second overall by the Philadelphia Flyers and Cody Glass was taken sixth overall by the Vegas Golden Knights (their first ever draft pick).
