What is the Winnipeg Jets Identity? –

We were treated to a fast paced goal filled gala from our Jets to kick off the season and all was right with the world for Jets fans!

Next, we headed over to California to face two powerhouses in the San Jose Sharks and Los Angeles Kings, followed by the start of a five game home stand against the Nashville Predators and Calgary Flames.  Don’t think I need to go into great detail as to how those games went for us….  Safe to say that Boring Identity reared its ugly head again. Winnipeg Jets Home Opener Finally Here !!! –

After waiting like what seems an eternity, the Winnipeg Jets “Home Opener” is finally upon us.  Only in the NHL can you open the season with three games in four nights on the road then have almost a week off!  I bet the players were really looking forward to another mini-training camp after their 1-2-0 road trip.  On the bright side, Evander Kane had time to heal his injured knee without missing any games. Winnipeg Jets 1.0 (Arizona Coyotes) vs Winnipeg Jets 2.0 (Atlanta Thrashers) – 

People that know me, whether it’s family, friends, hockey fans that read our web-site, or my Twitter friends/followers know that I support two NHL teams.  My wife and I live in Arizona for 182 days and we live in Winnipeg for 183 days, we have season tickets for the Coyotes and we have season tickets for the Jets (although I have yet to see a Winnipeg Jets 2.0 game at the MTS Center).  I constantly get asked or jokingly harassed about my cheering for the Phoenix, now the Arizona Coyotes. Thoughts on the Winnipeg Jets –  

Hockey fans have arisen from the dog days of summer with great anticipation that the Winnipeg Jets will be dropping the puck on a new season.  The pundits, bloggers and media alike have begun the transition of critiquing moves made or not made since the end of another non-playoff season to which players will make on the Winnipeg Jets “Opening Day Roster” in three weeks.  The lack of new news and the rehashing of the old news since July had me and others making numerous trips to the walk-in clinic for a bad case of nausea.
