Some random facts and a few thoughts from this past week about the Winnipeg Jets, the Manitoba Moose and the National Hockey League.
The Winnipeg Jets training camp opens today at the MTS Iceplex and will run there through Monday, Sept. 21. It will be then held at the MTS Centre for the remainder of the pre-season.
As a follow-up from my previous post on how the Jets might deal with their lines going through this off-season I will do a positional post starting from the net out. [Read more…]
The Winnipeg Jets are grounded for the summer although being put to bed by a superior Anaheim Ducks team is not a disgrace in any way. That club is now facing the Chicago Blackhawks in the Western Conference Finals. Some will point out, they got a second round pass but whatevah eh Calgary. 😛 [Read more…]
With some unbelievable goaltending down the stretch by the much maligned Ondrej Pavelec, the Jets clinched their first playoff spot since their relocation to Winnipeg. After reaching an all-time low after “the goal” in St. Louis it looked like he might be done but he rattled off an impressive streak and wrestled away the starting job from Michael Hutchinson.
